Is it still healthy to do intermittent fasting every day, like just eating once a day?

The main benefits of Intermittent Fasting:

->Burning fat - After depleting your glycogen, you start to burn FAT instead of carbohydrates. Intermittent fasting helps you hop onto the fat burning train way faster than traditional dieting. In essence, you begin to use the energy your body preserved (fat).

-> Reduced hunger. Your hunger is reduced during your non-eating windows. Your body gets used to your eating schedule pretty quickly. After a week or two of intermittent fasting, you stop being hungry all the time. Even better results if you avoid the carb-rich foods, which cause an insulin spike. An insulin spike, in turn, crashes your blood sugar, and then guess what - you feel hungry again.

->Insulin sensitivity. It has been shown that intermittent fasting (IF) in humans increases whole-body insulin sensitivity. Which means that you release less insulin after eating, again resulting in less hunger and even less risk for diabetes.

More benefits of IF:

✔️Increases insulin sensitivity. High insulin sensitivity allows the cells of the body to use blood glucose more effectively, reducing blood sugar.

✔️Reduces insulin resistance. If you have high insulin resistance, the cells do not absorb as much glucose, which might lead to excessively high blood sugar levels. Without management, this can progress to type 2 diabetes.

✔️Increased production of Human Growth Hormone. That means better regeneration, less muscle loss, and more muscle growth.

✔️ Less risk for neurological diseases. Less risk for Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and so on.

✔️ Productivity. Without the constant rises and crashes in blood sugar, your energy levels remain much more stable throughout the day, keeping you more productive.

✔️ Gut health (Interesting - . For optimal gut health, there must a balance between different types of bacteria in the gut. When a person’s gut loses this balance (dysbiosis), certain types of bacteria can overgrow and lead to serious complications. IF has shown promising results in helping maintain gut balance by keeping different types of gut bacteria in check.
