Information about  National Chiao Tung University Scholarship

It is a public research university established in 1896 as Nanyang Public School. Being as one of Taiwan’s top universities, NCTU was then re-established by former Chiao Tung University faculty and alumni in 1958. Taiwan’s Ministry of Education then chose NCTU as one of the seven national universities for research focus in 2002. Later NCTU got merged with National Yang Ming University into recently formed National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University on February 1 ^st 2021.

For Bachelors Students:

• The students enrolled into bachelors’ programs will be awarded with NT$21,000 (US$700) per month and/or tuition waiver.

For Master’s Students:

The students enrolled into Master’s programs will be conferred with:

• Tuition fees waivers.
• NT$22,000 (US$733) per month as a stipend.
• Assistantship provided by the advisor for research tasks.

For PhD Students:

The students enrolled into a doctorate or PhD program will be provided with:

• Tuition fees waivers.
• NT$29,000 (US$966) per month as a stipend.
• Assistantship provided by the advisor for research tasks.

Eligibility Criteria for National Chiao Tung University Scholarship

You need to be eligible if you like to be considered for this scholarship. Check below eligibility and see if you can apply for the scholarship:

• You need to be an international student (other than Taiwanese nationals).
• You need to be healthy mentally and physically.
• You cannot be a recipient of any other scholarship simultaneously.
• You need to fill out the application form honestly, correctly and completely.
• You need to submit the application materials required by the university.
• You are eligible to apply for Bachelor’s programs, if you have high school degree.
• You are eligible to apply for Master’s programs, if you have an undergraduate or Bachelor’s degree.
• You are eligible to apply for doctoral programs, if you have Master’s degree.

Required Documents
