Registration
information for first entering students 2022 academic year at University of
Limpopo
University of Limpopo looking forward to selecting you for the 2022 Academic Year.
There will be various admissions categories. Your application will be assigned
a status in due course and you can view your status online.
Registration for 2022 will be done solely online. Please do not visit the
University of Limpopo to verify the status of your application or to submit
your final results.
ADMISSION CATEGORIES
ADMITTED (A) MEANS THAT:
Ø You have been accepted to study for the degree
you have applied for.
Ø Registration dates will be
communicated to you. You will need to log in to the student
portal on the assigned date to formally register for the
qualification.
Ø Please notify us as soon
as possible if you do not accept the offer made to you.
TO BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST (L) MEANS THAT:
Ø A final decision on
whether you will be fully admitted or not will be made as soon as possible.
These decisions concerning the identification of space are only offered during
the registration period.
Ø You will be notified via
SMS whether you have been fully admitted or not.
Ø Available study spaces (if
any) may be filled by ranking prospective students who have not yet been
admitted based on their academic performance in all academic programmes in
which they participated at UL and elsewhere.
NO SPACE (NS) MEANS THAT:
Ø You are qualified for the
programme for which you applied, but there is no space available as the
admission quota would have already been reached.
CONDITIONALLY ADMITTED PENDING TEST OUTCOME (BP) MEANS THAT:
Ø As explained in the
Undergraduate Prospectus, a few programmes have additional admission criteria
in addition to the APS score.
Ø You are qualified for the
programme on a conditional basis pending the outcome of the additional
admission evaluation.
UNSUCCESSFUL (R) MEANS THAT:
Ø We regret to inform you that
your application was unsuccessful because you did not meet the minimum
admission requirements/selection criteria.
REGISTRATION
Ø All first-year students
are required to attend an online orientation programme. The
orientation programme dates will be communicated at the beginning of the 2022
Academic Year.
Ø Dates for registration
will be posted on the UL website.
Ø Admitted students need to
register within the specified registration period as space is limited .
Should all available spaces be filled before the end of the registration
period, registration for the specific programme will be closed. Registration
will be on a 'first-come-first-served' basis. Therefore, acceptance
into a programme does not guarantee enrollment.
Ø For degree registration,
you must have the correct endorsement (matric type) on your final Grade 12

FEES
Ø Information on tuition and
other fees due for 2022 are available on our website. Please click here for

Ø If you have a funder,
request that they send us a promissory note (letter) on or before
registration, and also notify us of your funder by sending details
to: privatebursaries@ul.ac.za or governmentbursaries@ul.ac.za.
Ø If you are self-funding,
please send us proof of payment four (4) working days prior to
registration: studentfeesqueries@ul.ac.za.
UL MERIT BURSARIES
Ø Academic merit bursaries
are awarded based on outstanding Grade 12 results. Please click here for

NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme)
Ø All enquiries should be

RESIDENCE
Ø Academic admission to the
University of Limpopo does not guarantee residence admission. You will receive
a separate letter if you applied for admission to a residence. Residence
Administration shall communicate with the students on the outcomes and status
of their residence admissions and registration. Only students who have received
a residence admission letter will be required to pay an upfront residence fee.

AGREEMENT AND INDEMNITY
Ø When you register, you
will be required to complete, sign, and submit a formal agreement with the
University of Limpopo.
Ø The formal agreement
includes provisions that exempt and indemnify the University and those whose
conduct it is responsible for from liability arising from damages and losses
you may suffer.
Ø If you are under the age
of 18, you must have a parent or guardian sign the required form.
Ø You will be registered
under the strict condition that you agree to abide by the Student Code of
Conduct, the Academic Rules and Regulations of the University of Limpopo, the
rules and regulations of the Faculty, and the University's policies and
procedures as amended from time to time.
Ø You agree to pay the
prescribed fees and agree to be bound by the provisions of the formal
agreement.
REMOTE ONLINE REGISTRATIONS
Ø The registration for 2022
will be done online. If your application is successful, the University will
contact you with information on how to register from the comfort of your own
home.
Ø There will be NO
registration on campus. Everything is done remotely and online. If your
application is accepted, the University will provide call-center numbers in the
event that there are any challenges.
Ø Registration information
will be posted on the website.
DISCLAIMER
The University of Limpopo reserves the right to review an applicant's status if
one or more of the following criteria were not met:
Ø Details of previous
studies undertaken prior to the application.
Ø The correct matric type at
the time of application.
Ø Any other relevant and
correct information and documentation that could have affected the decision
process in respect of the application.
The
University of Limpopo reserves the right to review an applicant's status if the
University determines that there has been an administrative oversight. In such
a case, the University will rectify the error and notify the applicant of the
change within a reasonable timeframe.
